Zillow is an online real estate service that launched in 2006. It helps individuals obtain home value estimates. In a simple interface a user must only type in an address and appraisal data will be displayed. It provides this information on millions of homes across the United States. Buyers and sellers can get help finding aerial maps, comparisons of similar houses sold in the neighborhood, and background information on the community.
Zillow was founded by Rich Barton and Lloyd Frink, the founders of Expedia. It has been met with criticism, but that is often because it changes how the real estate business is being done and that is a threat to many current real estate individuals. It is integrating new feature that allows home owners to add additional data about their property so a better appraisal can be made of property. I would not trust anything related to EXPEDIA. They have bad reputation in the travel industry. Just search for "EXPEDIA complaints" in Yahoo or Google and you will read horrible stories from travelers.
We don't want to listen about people loosing homes.
